This section is designed to show you options, give you inspiration, and answer design questions.
1. Corners
Select your corner style
Every build has corners. Do you want a crisp, sharp corner for a clean edge or do you prefer a rounded corner, for those with children perhaps? If you like the rounded corner, what type do you like? Let's call the options, small, medium, or large. Here we show you some examples to help you make a more informed decision.

2. Finishes
Select your finish
To protect the barnwood, we use a water-based polycrylic finish. We finish most pieces in a satin finish, which gives the piece a slight sheen while offering years of protection. For a typical build, we apply 6 to 7 coats. Regardless of finish choice, the applied coats will slightly darken the color of the wood. This is to be expected.

Our available finishes are matte, flat, eggshell, satin, semi-gloss, or gloss.
3. Color
Choose your color
Barnwood comes in a variety of colors. Given the nature and history of each piece of wood, there are endless possibilities when it comes to color. We break this down into two easy options:

1. Red
2. Brown
​
The red wood will result in a rustic brown/orange color. The color is deep and rich with earth clay tones, while the knots and blemishes offer a beautiful contrast. Pieces created in this color tend to appear darker than the brown counterpart.

The brown wood has a natural finish. It is typically lighter in color than red wood pieces. The wood looks as it would have if it were milled 100 years ago. Rustic, natural, blemished, and beautiful.

4. Texture
Choose your texture
Since all of our wood comes from the source, there are two distinct textures we deal with. The first is a smoother texture, which denotes the wood was facing indoors, away from the elements. This wood still comes with plenty of imperfections, but overall has a smooth texture.

The second is an uneven texture. While rough is the opposite of smooth, the uneven textured wood is not always rough. The wood can have a wavy feel to it when you run your hand across it. It will be weathered from years of exposure to the elements.
